2022 Court changes due to pandemic

Writer: Julie La BlancJulie La Blanc

Before you head to the courthouse to file papers or even place a call to check on your case be sure you check the Superior Court website for updated information regarding hours of service. These changes are different for each courthouse and change often. Look for "press releases" under the news and events section of the website for the latest information. Many self represented litigants get frustrated when they show up to the court and find it closed, phone lines only answered for 2 hours a day, drop boxes used instead of a clerk being available to accept their paperwork, etc. It might be time to consider hiring a Legal Document Assistant to complete and file your paperwork on your behalf and at your direction.
